As an author Mark keeps getting better and better, and his firsttwo books were excellent.
His latest book explorers the primal essence of Christianity. It peels back the layers of cultural and religious baggage to find Jesus' greatest commandment. However, Primal doesn't just unearth the greatest commandment, it breaks it up in digestible pieces. The book is constructed in four sections heart, soul, mind, and strength. Each chapter builds from and into the Jesus' great commandment.
Primal is the perfect blend of deep thought, scientific thought, and readability/accessibility. Mark has wrote a book that I highly recommend working through individually or corporately. At some point I will do a church wide campaign/series around this book.
It is very clear that Mark's desire is to create a Primal Movement. I'm on board, won't you join us?
Incase you missed the big news I will be ministering in a new position and a new city very soon! This January I will start my new position at Momentum Christian Church, a thriving three year old church plant in Cleveland, OH, as a Church Planter Apprentice.
In 2010 I will be giving all my efforts to what God is doing at Momentum. As a Church Planter Apprentice I’ll have an opportunity to preach, serve in many community service projects, care for others in small group bible studies, and much more. During this time they will help prepare and equip me for my calling to plant a church. We know that God is calling us to Cleveland and we believe that God is preparing us for a great work through Momentum.
Here are just a few stories of the lives that are being changed at Momentum...
As a Church Planter Apprentice I have committed to raise my own salary, like a missionary, just as the other interns and full time ministers have done at Momentum. Momentum has set the salary goal of $50,000 for the 12 months that we will be there.

Yes, we have some big news. God is calling us to Cleveland to plant a church. This January we are heading to Momentum Christian Church in Cleveland, OH where I have accepted an position as a Church Planting Apprentice. This was a hard decision for me to leave all my peeps at New Hope Ashland, but I know that it was where God wants us. And we believe that God is faithful to the work at New Hope Ashland and those who live in Ashland, but are far from the Lord. God is preparing someone to lead New Hope Ashland's vision to reach and teach people to be passionate followers of Christ in the city! Click here to read more about my transition.
