Time Eplases
Throughout your life, the time you spend on this world elapses. It shrinks from I have 6 months, to I have 6 minutes. After a moment in your life goes by, and you look at the time you spent preparing for that moment, it seems like it was all a blur. As time passes and you look back on it, it seems shorter and shorter, faster and faster.
Time-Lapse Fun! from Joe Simon Films
Just yesterday it seems like I became a father. A few days before that a husband. A week ago I graduated from high school, and a month ago I was learning to tie my shoes.
Time elapses and life is a vapor, a mist. But you don't have to live it that way. Soak up the present, live in the moment, love people like there is no tomorrow because you will look back and soon, there won't be a today.

Think Orange | Book Review
I have been concerned with how the Church has done children's ministry. They fall victim to the same issues that schools (having worked in both) do. And that is the neglect of the family. Or should I say the negligance of the family unit.Let me explain... I often hear parents in churches (or schools) saying, "what do you have for my kids?" My thought is "what do you have for them?" Scriptures are rather clear on parents rolls in raising their children and it's not to rely on the church (or schools) to determine if they succeed or fail.
THINK ORANGE is an fascinating book on how both the CHURCH (YELLOW - which influences) and the FAMILY (RED - which is the heart) and work together to make a greater impact. This book is the best book I have ever read on Children's ministry, or should I say family ministry. You are going to want to pick this up. I will be reading it over and over again.
Big thanks to Tom Roepke and Kevin West for turning me on to the book.

Story!
I had an amazing time at Story 2009.
Day One was a jam packed day of worship, speakers, elements, etc. Through out the day you could see the progression from Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration through the visuals, speakers, and music.
Day Two was a great day of workshops at the Orchard. A Church lead by Scott Hodge who was gracious enough to give us sometime. The volunteer's were amazing too.
I loved how approachable everyone was - speakers, attendees, authors, artists, innovators, musicians, etc.
I can't tell Ben Arment and crew what this meant to me. Perfect timing, perfect messages, perfect place, perfect elements. Thanks and blessings.

I also was surprised to see that one of the photographers for Story thought I need to be captured. See photo above - third picture from the right.. Click here to see all the photos from Story.
