Exploiting Impulses

When Sondra and I take Selah, our 1 year old daughter, into our neighborhood grocery story to get baby food she begins to scream! Why? Because the same isle where food is, is the same isle that baby/toddler toys are. [Updated 11/24 - Added Photos below]

Don't think for a minute that the grocery and department stores put these by each other because it's logical (although it is). They put it there because they are exploiting a fundamental impulse in humanity to be selfish. I want it! I need it! It's mine!

In what ways have your fundamental impulses been exploited by media, businesses, etc.???

  1. I overcome now, just because of distance, but before I moved here, it was bad. A Taco Bell or BK commercial would come on at 11:30 PM, and next thing you know, I'd be begging Sarah to go, cause I was "so hungry." Now I have what doctors call a little bit of a weight problem.
