1st Week of the month is ‘thread week’. We meet in our OC gatherings to share life together. We talk, eat, laugh, learn, pray, sing, and share. Sometime during this gathering we will sit down and watch the 'thread video'. Then we will discuss, study, share and disciple one another on the main idea presented in the 'thread video'.
2nd Week of the month is a normal OC gathering*. During this week the OC and the OC leader can direct the conversation as they see fit. They are encouraged to continue sharing on the major idea of the thread, but have freedom to discuss any topic(s).
3rd Week of the month is 'The Gathering' [on Sunday]. The Gathering is the coming together of all the OCs to share in a corporate worship experience where the Lord will be exalted and the Gospel shared. During this gathering the Lead Pastor will teach on the thread that was presented that month.
At first we will meet in a large home or small rented facility to worship and learn together. Occasionally we will go visit a church in the area. As Renovo grows we will seek out rented facilities to accommodate this worship gathering.
4th Week of the month is OC gatherings*. We encourage OC leaders to lead this meeting as the see fit. Could be a time of fellowship, learning, healing, serving...
When we have a 5th week in a month, we will hold a ‘Missional OC gathering’. During this gathering we will challenge each OC to serve the community they live in. Whether it's raking leaves, offering a helping hand to a single mother or a widow, rehabbing a neighbors house, or joining in to help raise funds for AIDS treatment, we want to be known in the community for how we serve.
*During all OC gatherings we want to be mindful of sharing at the Table, serving with the Towel and learning the Text.
